6 Oct: Scorpions at Karaiskaki stadium

The Scorpions have officially announced their tour dates for 2010, and Athens has been added to the list on October 6th, 2010! The Scorpions have a large fan-base here in Greece, and they've always been sure to acknowledge it. In 2005 they were the first band to play in Karaiskaki stadium and sold 25,000 tickets. In 2006, along with Whitesnake, they sold 35,000 tickets! They kicked off their Scorpions Festival here in Greece in 2007, and have been back yearly since then, along with other big names such as Joe Cocker. Ticket information has not yet been announced, but we will keep you updated as this information is released. Known best for their 1984 anthem "Rock You Like a Hurricane" and the 1990 ballad "Wind of Change," the German rockers the Scorpions have sold over 22 million records, making them one of the most successful rock bands to ever come out of Continental Europe.
