Following in the footsteps of the U.N. mandated "International Day of Peace" (September 21), New York fashion designer Jussara Lee unveiled an installation piece made of hundreds of white panels at The Hydra School Project, an annual exhibition of local and international artists on the island of Hydra, a quick ferry ride from Athens. The white flags are made of fabric salvaged from the recent Bryant Park fashion shows that would have been otherwise thrown away. The massive ensemble of recycled fabric represents a giant peace flag calling for a global ceasefire.
