Welcome to the fourth edition of KinderDocs – the documentary festival of award-winning films made for children and teenagers, as well as their friends, teachers, and parents, running all year long at the Benaki Museum/138 Pireos St. in Athens and the MOMus- Museum of Contemporary Art in Thessaloniki. KinderDocs premieres this year with a documentary on youth, science, and the environment.

Meet passionate teenage innovators from around the globe who are creating cutting-edge solutions to confront the world’s environmental threats. Take a journey with these inspiring teens as they prepare their projects for the largest convening of high school scientists in the world, the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair. Who will be the winner?

KinderDocs
KinderDocs International Documentary Festival for Children and Young People presents each year award-winning films made for children and teenagers, as well as their friends, teachers, and parents, running all year long in Greece. Discover the magic of documentaries, explore new ways of communication, get inspired by stories we all care about, have fun. Each film is a story on teenage life – friendship, family, education, social media, creativity, art, music, dance, psychology, migration, environment – an opportunity to enter the colourful world of kids and teenagers, a platform for constructive dialogue and after-screening events, building tomorrow’s thinking viewers today. Founded in 2016, KinderDocs premieres for its fourth season in October 2019, in collaboration with the Benaki Museum in Athens and MOMus – Museum of Contemporary Art - Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art and State Museum of Contemporary Art Collections in Thessaloniki, supported by the biggest documentary festivals in Europe – IDFA (The Netherlands) and DOCX! (Germany). In November 2019, KinderDocs Greece will also be featured for the second time at the prestigious Festival dei Popoli in Florence, Italy (est. 1959).

Chocolate Fest Vol.02

ChocolateFest is the first festival in Greece dedicated to chocolate and returns once again for a delicious 4-day event!

Vegan Life Festival Athens 2019

Vegan Life Festival Athens returns for the fourth consecutive year in Technopolis City of Athens, on October 5-6 from 11am to 11 pm with free entrance!

Following the great success of this year's festivals in Thessaloniki and Chania, Vegan Life Festival Athens opens its doors for two days filled with delicious vegan food, cruelty free and zero waste products, activist groups, unique speeches and workshops, activities for children, but also, for the largest meeting of people interested in a more animal -friendly and eco -friendly way of life!

Vegan Life Festival Athens raises the bar with more than 150 exhibitor stands, at least 25,000 expected visitors and over 40 unique speeches and workshops by well-known members of the scientific and the vegan community, on animal rights, ecology, healthy plant-based diet and more!

The festival is addressed to everyone interested in the vegan way of life, the animal rights movement, or a healthier and more eco-friendly lifestyle!

Dimitris Psaltis is a professor of Astronomy and Physics at the University of Arizona, with his research focusing on testing the theory of general relativity in the strong-field regime. Dimitris Psaltis was born in the town of Serres in 1970, and since a very young age, he knew his professional destination. His father bought him science books to urge him to love reading, and reading about rockets and Physics, made him want to go to study in the US.
 
In 2019 Dimitris Psaltis, played an important part in capturing the first photo of a black hole in human history. This great achievement will be awarded the 2020 Breakthrough Prize in California in November.
 
The $ 3 million Breakthrough Prize in Fundamental Physics will be equally shared by the Event Horizon Telescope Collaboration (EHT). Under Psaltis' guidance and with the help of supercomputers and leading graphics processors the Event Horizon Telescope Collaboration announced on April 10 that they had captured the first photograph of the black hole.

This gripping love story centers around Odette, a princess turned into a swan by a sorcerer's curse, and Siegfried, a prince. It is a masterpiece that connects love, romance, tragedy and magic in the most beautiful way.

It is also a unique opportunity for people to witness the world famous Russian Ballet Theater and be blown away by their spectacular performance!

After the sold-out concert on October 7th, Queen Symphonic will return for one more performance on Tuesday, October 8th at the Odeon of Herode Atticus.

The band has given the chance to thousands of Queen fans around the world, to enjoy their favorite Queen hits like never before!

This highly successful spectacle involves a massive production that includes a 10-member rock band, a 60-member symphony orchestra with singers performing all of Queen’s greatest hits including, “We Will Rock You”, “We Are the Champions” and “Bohemian Rhapsody”.

The City of Athens Symphony Orchestra will perform led by distinguished musician and conductor, Richard Sidwell.
