La Barraca: Barcelona in Glyfada!

And yet , even Zisimopoulou street changes... The erstwhile street with the ostentatious lifestyle and giant cafés with the lounge aesthetic, which turned out to be impersonal, just acquired a new little spot with lots of personality. And indeed very Barcelona-like! Because if you have visited the city of Antoni Gaudi, you will definitely remember those elongated bars that feature colorful and vivid tiles as well as the delicious tapas.

La Barraca is something like that. You can have your afternoon wine, while tasting beef carpaccio or smoked eel with apple chutney, celery, ginger and roasted hazelnut.

And if you're very hungry, there is a choice of five main dishes of Mediterranean cuisine. All this, on the bar or the tall tables. And as the night comes, you can be swept away in swing and soulful music or even dance to deep house tunes on Fridays and Saturdays.

Baku Restaurant At The Margi Hotel

Award-winning chef, Panagiotis Giakalis imparts his gastronomic experiences and skill to create dishes that will surely delight the most selective of palates. Bakù can best be described as an expression of the evolution and convergence of Greek and ethnic cuisines using locally produced Greek products at an affordable price.

Custom made furniture, warm woven fabrics, crystal sconces and rare rugs from Βakù create a timelessly stylish and warm ambiance to complement the dining experience. Ammos Fish Restaurant In Mikrolimano

This great Greek fish restaurant is very reasonably priced and serves delicious seafood (with a large selection of mezedes) with a low-key island feel (great outdoor seating as well right on the marina) plus a younger crowd than the other restaurants around it. Everything reminds you of a Greek island in this beautiful taverna which serves more than a hundred dishes accompanied either by wine or ouzo. You should definitely try the shrimp risotto as well as the crab salad.

Melina Cafe In Plaka Honours Melina Mercouri

22, Lysiou Street in Plaka, in the historic Athens Center, has its own special history. Way before it was established in people's conscience, the Cafe-Bar-Restaurant "Melina" was initially used for other purposes, as you can see in the rare photo-gallery provided. So, through time, the PLaka visitors enjoyed bakery products in 22, Lysiou street. That bakery evolved to a pastry shop and before it was named as "Cafe of Melina", it was operating as a cafe-bar. We welcome you to the 21st century, in that so warm and valueable gift of the Athenaen Plaka - the Melina Cafe. Melina Cafe was initially named "Cafe of Melina" in 1994, to place the honours to the last Greek Godess, Melina Mercouri, which had just passed away but her high temperament was engraved in many hearts. Cafe Melina, with this strong sense of the dynamic Greek Godess, offers moments of morning serenity, a lunch in the afternoon and a drink at night, with the help of the multipurpose space, its warm personel and its magnificent coffee.

Quality music, in harmony with the fine aesthetically space, is combined with the classic european culture, the jazz magic and the art folk music. This is the reason that Melina Cafe is a hangout with devoted customers.

The atmosphere is dominated by Melina's aura and is an inspiration for historical backgrounds, nostalgia moments and passion for life. The Plaka area was always an area for conversations of any subject and it is an area for coffee.

A woman with so much love to her audience, inspired millions of people, simple, passionate for life. Andreas Martzaklis was inspired from this Greek Muse, having ascented to business with effort. initially as a waiter at the parliament's cafe, with the intervention of Mr. Andreas Papandreou, he worked as a maitre at the Prime Minister's Hall. His position allowed him to meed the Minister of Culture Melina Mercouri, whose dynamism, views and visionary personality revealed instantly to the today Melina Cafe's owner, through the conversations they had.

Elena Ntouchanika, classical music professor, was also inspired by the artistic sensitivity of Melina and added with her artistic point of view as a guiding line the touches that made Melina Cafe keep Melina Mercouri a living legend. She tends for the decoration and the music choices.

The philosophy and their goal is to keep the cafe untouched, without drastic changes, always keeping the spirit of the Plaka style of the Old Athens. Having this in mind, their vision is to keep the people's interest about a Greek woman who offered so much to her country.

Three Reviews Of The Royal Thai In Kifissia

Royal Thai—Opulence comes to mind upon entering Royal Thai, an Asian-cuisine restaurant nestled in a quiet street of Kifissia suburb. As the name suggests, it truly is fit for a king. Adorned in golds and plush reds, an attentive staff in traditional Thai attire pampers the clientele from the moment they enter. Not to be missed is the Royal Thai banquet menu comprised of no less than seven courses. Appetizers include crispy vegetable rolls in plum sauce, giant shrimp, coconut and ginger soup, tender chicken satay in peanut sauce and sweet and sour shrimp. For dessert, try the cashew nut pie with hot chocolate sauce. Extensive wine list and excellent service. Open daily 7:30 pm-1 am. Most major credit cards. 12 Zirini, Athens. Phone 210-623-2323.

3 Reviews of The Royal Thai

It's the only authentic thai food in Athens!!! reminds me the food I ate when I traveled in Thailand!!! Great food, great service, very good atmosphere but a little expensive.

I've been to Royal Thai only on Sundays where you can eat as much as you like for 25 euros. They have a large buffet with a great variety of food including traditional Thai, sushi, salads and many desserts. You should definitely try it!

Finally authentic Thai Food, it\'s the only one I know so far in Athens. Nice atmosphere, high class, a little expensive thought, but that\'s ok considering the area and type of restaurant.
