Just before Easter, the old gasworks factory becomes the perfect destination for the most unique "getaway" in the heart of Athens!

From Monday, April 29th, to Wednesday, May 1st, when schools are closed and the mood for play is high, the Industrial Gas Museum welcomes children aged 8-12, offering them the perfect Easter "holiday" in the city center!

At the exciting Easter Camp taking place at the old gasworks factory in Athens, fun and adventure are guaranteed! Outdoor activities, art creations, mystery games, acrobatics, yoga, dance, and music make up a rich Easter program that will thrill the kids, while also boosting their creativity and social skills. Activities start at 8:30 in the morning and run until 2:30 in the afternoon, with the program designed for children to attend for one to three days.

Wake Up!

Lively games in the factory courtyard in collaboration with the Athens Trainers team, to start the day with teamwork, speed, and fun. An experienced team of trainers, dancers, and educators organize kinetic and traditional games, ball games, and floor games for our little friends.

A Circus at Technopolis!

Dance workshop by the A(r)ct: Art can Act team. Technopolis' Skywalk, the country's first certified and perfectly safe action park, transforms into the biggest circus and invites our little friends to become acrobats, musicians, jugglers, and clowns! In this workshop of creative movement and acrobatics, children will discover what it's like to balance on their hands, throw balls in the air, make faces, create stories with their bodies, hang from ropes, and balance on a human pyramid!

Namaste

Kids yoga workshop with Konstantina Roidopoulou. Our little friends will have the opportunity to interact, express themselves creatively, and relax through comfortable and fun yoga positions (asanas). Together, we'll play and "support" each other. The workshop combines dynamic asanas (poses) with exercises and lots of play! Children are encouraged to bring their own yoga mats and wear comfortable clothes.

The Machine of Wonders

Art workshop by the Industrial Gas Museum team. The factory's steam engine, the unique invention of the Industrial Revolution, comes to life and serves as inspiration for the most colorful and swirling construction. Geometric shapes, patterns, and mechanics join forces for a fun art workshop focusing on play.

Crime at the Tower - Easter Edition

The beloved mystery game, designed by the Industrial Gas Museum team! Holy Wednesday of 1952... Something suspicious is happening at the Tower of the old gasworks factory! A terrible mystery awaits its solution in the tallest building of Technopolis. Through puzzles and hidden guilty secrets, our little friends will solve a terrible crime from 1952, using the oral testimonies of the workers and the archival material of the old gasworks factory.

The top golf tournament for the maritime community, Greek Maritime Golf Event, returns for its 10th anniversary, renewing its annual meeting with the Greek and global maritime industry, on September 5-8, 2024, at Costa Navarino, in Messinia.

Greek Maritime Golf Event celebrates its 10 years in the best way possible, as it was once again distinguished at the Sports Marketing Awards 2024, as the best golf event in Greece. Competition at Navarino Hills

Greek Maritime Golf Event will once again bring together more than 80 top executives from the maritime industry who will form teams of four. Golfers will have the opportunity to compete at the Costa Navarino golf courses, in a destination ranked in the Top 10 of the “Top 100 World Resorts” list and awarded as the “World’s Best Golf Venue” at the World Golf Awards 2023. The rounds will take place on the two signature 18-hole courses, designed by two-time Masters champion and Ryder Cup legend, José María Olazábal, at Navarino Hills, in an idyllic landscape with centuries-old olive trees and stunning views of the Ionian Sea, the historic Navarino Bay, and the picturesque port of Pylos.

Participants will compete on a team level on Friday, September 6, in a shotgun scramble competition at the International Olympic Academy Golf Course. Similarly, on Saturday, September 7, they will take part in a shotgun scramble competition at The Hills Course.

Sinthome is a Lacanian neologism associated with the symptom, the synthetic-artificial man, the saint, Saint Thomas. sinthome can also be read as synth-home in the sense of an artificial construction of oneself. Sinthome is a combination of language and pleasure, a symbol imbued with pleasure, much like a compulsive tic.

The Athens Digital Arts Festival, the first and largest international platform for digital arts in Greece, celebrates two decades of creativity and digital innovation in contemporary art with a special anniversary edition at two iconic venues in the heart of Athens. From May 16 to May 26, 2024, the Former Santaroza Courthouse and Justice Square will be transformed into a vibrant stage of artistic expression and technological experimentation, hosting the 20th Athens Digital Arts Festival under the title "TECHNO(S)CENE.”

The General Confederation of Greek Workers (GSEE) has declared a 24-hour strike scheduled for Wednesday, aiming to promote public urban transportation, collective labor agreements and personnel hirings. The strike is expected to impact public transport services across the country.

During the strike, all three lines of the Metro and the tram will be out of service, while city buses will operate on a limited schedule from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The national railway will also be affected, with the managing company, Hellenic Trains, announcing changes and cancellations on their website.

Additionally, the Panhellenic Seamen’s Federation will participate in the strike, resulting in ferries and boats remaining docked nationwide for the full 24 hours.

Theatre Of The No, the first English-speaking theatre in Athens, proudly announces its grand opening with Samuel Beckett’s timeless masterpiece, "Waiting for Godot" on April 18th. Directed by Nikos Dionysios with a brilliant international cast, this brave production brings new energy and innovation to the most important theatrical play of the 20th century.

"Waiting for Godot" is justifiably iconic, a masterpiece of modern existential theatre, that explores profound themes through the lens of two protagonists Estragon and Vladimir, who find themselves in a perpetual cycle of waiting the arrival of a mysterious figure. Two loners, who depend on each other by waiting for something that does not come, two others who are connected through the authority of the ruled and a child.

Beckett skilfully weaves together themes of loneliness, dependency, and the relentless pursuit of meaning in a world devoid of certainty. Through layers of symbolism and multi-dimensional writing, the writer challenges audiences to confront the enigma of existence and grapple with the fundamental question, "Who am I ?"

"Is it a drama? Maybe a comedy? Nothing? Perhaps this classic play, defies easy categorization and reflects the artistic team behind Theatre of the No who seeks to explore the multi-layered complexities of Beckett's narrative.
